The Darling Tarot

The Master Process ($500): 1. The first step is I cut out the parchment paper. I soak the paper in essential oils and exotic attars to charge the parchment 2. After the parchmenht dries. I sketch each card out with the basic idea and then fine tune it with symbolism. 3. I spray the cards with a light mist of another charging blend of oils. 4. I place the cards into a bowl of powdered frankincense, myrrh and nutmeg. 5. I begin the process of painting with pigment style paints. These are made with crushed stones, roots, leaves, petals, barks, etc. The agent to create the paint is an egg tempura blend. 6. Each base color is made and then blended together to create the standout colors. 7. Each card is created with the ancient definition of talisman magick. "a true talisman is created when the creator sits down to create the talisman with only one focus in mind. That focus is the job of talisman. The creator works without distraction of a single other thought from start to finish of that talisman." 8. The cards are then outlined in the gold. 9. The cards are then once again charged on the back side with oils to the meaning of the card. 10. The backing cards are a heavy poster board that is blessed with oils and then dried in herbs. Painted with pigment. Charged to simple clarity. 11. The cards and boards are sealed with a Dammar resin sealer. 12. The backs are painted with the gold. Sealed with the sigil of the deck and then with the dammar. 13. The final step is the sides being oiled with each meaning of the cards for the majors and the minors are then oiled to the element and planets. Gold edged. Dammar sealed. From there the box is then worked. Wooden box with an engraved and then burned sigil of the deck. The box is oiled with essential blends for clarity, success and protection. Stained. Sealed. Each master deck is then lovingly wrapped in a silk cloth and placed in the box with the instruction booklet. Each instruction book is hand written in Indian Ink on parchment paper with a specific to each different deck.

A Dilemma of the Belief by Jymie Darling

I saw this today and it gave me pause. Mainly because of the questions it was asking. And the seemingly lack of answers in their mind.
Actually there are laws.. No doubt No fear No guilt No harm Each is defined by the individual and by the actual motive and precise moment. Never practice what you fear. Never practice what you doubt will work or is just Never practice what will cause guilt. Never practice what will harm (justice is not harm) Problem is that most people are not classically trained and never learn the elder laws of magick. Lying is not necessarily covered...but it's effects are. Sex is not necessarily covered but it's effects are. Murder, rape, etc...all covered.

Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Did you recently start your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out. All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic. If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics. A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love! The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once! If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice. We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all! To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window. If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time. No running on the deck.

Myths of Symbolism with Jymie Darling

Myths of the Symbols Baphomet
The Baphomet dates back to the Knights Templar. To completely understand the Baphomet, one must understand the story of the Knights Templar first. The Knights Templar was an order of warrior monks officially founded in 1118 by Hugues de Payns after the successful campaign to recapture the holy city of Jerusalem. They were originally known as the “poor Knights of the Temple of Solomon” and their stated purpose was to protect Christian travelers to the Holy Land. The Catholic Church at the Council of Troyes officially sanctioned them in 1128. The Knights Templar received the support of St Bernard of Clairvaux, who was commissioned to write their “Rule” or their guide to their religious practices, which included their mission statement.
The organization was known for begin ferocious battle and it acquired, primarily through donations, vast holdings of land all over Europe, particularly in France. It also accumulated enormous wealth during the time of the crusades.
On Friday, October 13, 1307, following a lengthy series of events, the bailiffs of King Phillip IV of France (also known as Phillip the Fair), entered the Templars’ main sanctuary known as the Commanderies and captured, without a hint of struggle or protest “all” of the Knights Templar. They were imprisoned, tortured and forced to “confess” to a list of heresies and perversions. This is also how Friday the 13th became unlucky.

Animal Totems Part One with Jymie Darling

    • Jymie Darling

    •  jymie-darling
Totems. Especially animal totems. Everyone believes that you only have one and that they are some sort of life time thing. But that is not true. I have taught this for over 15 years and with the help of several tribe members.
There is an animal as a group that is constantly in your life. This is called a life totem. It is meant to teach you the greater lesson in life. It some group that is near and dear to the heart and you usually see as the pet in the family. Without it, you seem lost. It is because it is a constant lesson for an entire lifetime. There is a group of animals that show up and you see constantly for some reason. Such as a sudden appearance of crows that become noticeable in a disturbing manner. That is your path guide. You path guide changes and appears when it is important to the moment to learn something from them. Then there is your personal animal guide. That becomes a specific animal. They may not stay in your life in the same ROLE but they stay in your life. They come in with a drastic change and impact. They prep us for something. They teach us our wings. They step down when they have travelled all they can with us but they never go away. Sometimes they grow with us for a lifetime and stay in that role. Sometimes, they have to take a step back so you can continue to grow. They know. We do not. They understand. We sometimes find it hard to understand. They never leave us. They just change their role. It hurts our hearts. It fills theirs. The pain goes away when we realize it is not sorrow to either but a simple change. Like a parent watching a child grow up and change. You are the child. Alligator: Know when it is time to lay low and conceal yourself until the exact right moment. Flying under the radar is the best way for you to get what you want right now. Stay stealth and examine the situation before action. Ant: Are you following when you should be leading? Maybe it’s time to find a new direction and forget your current path. Are simply following the pack that serves someone else and not you? Is your hard work to serve you? Perhaps now is the time for you to change to serving the self. Break from the colony and use your work to create your own colony! Antelope:
Take a leap of faith and go ahead with what you have been thinking. Follow your instincts and move with confidence and move quickly. It is time for you trust in your instinct and move towards it quickly. However, always remain watchful. Do not move with your head in the clouds. Keep watchful of all that is around you and question anyone that seems to be stalking in the sidelines. Badger: Don’t give up easily. You are going to have to be more persistent and more patient. You own time and your own pace. Slow and steady is winning your race right now. Stay grounded. Stay realistic but let your star shine. It is time for you to rise above the rest. To truly shine. Trust and faith in yourself is a must. Bat: Know that part of this process you are currently going through is connected to your dreams coming true. It is a time for you to trust in your other senses. Seeing is not always believing. Do not trust what you see or what others are trying to show you. Trust in other senses including intuition. Stay stealth. Fly in the night towards your goals. Meditate and learn to develop other senses. Bear: Be clear about where your boundaries are. Stand your ground. You have the need to nurture those around you right now. Free those around you from fear. Figure out if they are in a moment of problems and help them. Figure out if you are hiding from fears right now. Bears teach confidence and strength. To lose fears that are not useful to you and are holding you back right now. Come out of your cave and roar. more animals coming in other blogs….I have so many things happening right now that I can only dedicated a few moments a day to teaching here. But I promise more soon!!! No later than tomorrow! Maybe later today!

How They Disappeared: A Reading List

    • Emily Perper
    • 2d ago
    •  emily-perper
Disappearance takes many forms. It can be self-imposed (going off the grid), a medical metaphor (dementia, amnesia or Alzheimer’s) or an act of violence (kidnapping, murder, conspiracy).
Last week, Longreads brought you Grace Rubenstein’s “The Vanishing: What Happened to the Thousands Still Missing in Mexico?” This week, I wanted to share five more stories about what it means to disappear—either against your will or by your own volition.
    1. “On Vanishing.” (Lynn Casteel Harper, Catapult, April 2016)
What does it mean to vanish well? This is the crux of Lynn Casteel Harper’s essay on “self-disappearance.” She brings in discussion of assisted suicide, Alzheimer’s disease, seances, and shame. It is, to put it frankly, one of the finest essays I’ve ever had the pleasure to read. I look forward to Harper’s upcoming book, from which “On Vanishing” is excerpted.
    2. “The Savior of the World Watched as These Trans Women Disappeared.” (J. Lester Feder & Nicola Chávez Courtright, BuzzFeed, December 2015) 3. “A Super Strange True Love Story: My Disappearing Fiancé.” (Annalisa Merelli, Narratively, June 2015) 4. “Ghost Boat.” (Eric Reidy, Medium, October 2015) 5. “Disappearing Dad Disorder.” (Alexandra Kleeman, Electric Literature, August 2015)

HTTPS Everywhere: Encryption for All WordPress.com Sites

      • Barry
      • 4d ago
Today we are excited to announce free HTTPS for all custom domains hosted on WordPress.com. This brings the security and performance of modern encryption to every blog and website we host.
Best of all, the changes are automatic — you won’t need to do a thing.
As the EFF points out as part of their Encrypt the Web initiative, strong encryption protects our users in various ways, including defending against surveillance of content and communications, cookie theft, account hijacking, and other web security flaws.
Web encryption provides more than security

How to spot a snake oil Psychic

      by Jymie Darling

There is an immense trend that has been happening and it is disturbing. In the last 20+ years that I have been in this community with 19 years spent on the floor in the Nation’s Oldest Occult Store, I have seen thieving like no other.
      Cursed. Hexed.
So many people go to psychics. So many psychics tell people that they are cursed and hexed. That they have been cursed by an enemy or better yet, your family line is cursed and it has spread to you.
      Stop!
99% of you are not cursed. 99% of you have not been hexed. It is a joke. It is a game. 99% of you are having a bad cycle. A bad cycle is different than a curse. A bad cycle is a cycle of events that are happening to you that seems like a curse but in reality, it is a lesson that you are suppose to learn from and it is a hard lesson. When you do not learn that lesson, it becomes a worse cycle each time. It feels like a demon. It feels like a curse. It is NOT. You might want it to be.
Why would you want it to be a curse? Because it is usually easier to believe that is something outside of you. It is much harder to face the self. To face our actions. To see our faults. To learn our lessons so that we can move forward.
      The Game.
Now, you go into a psychic. They do not survive off of the $10, $25 or $50. They would have to do so many a day to make rent, insurance, utilities, paychecks, etc. So the next level game happens.
You go in. They play on your fears. They play on your doubts. They play to your wishes and desires.
Advice is free but that does not pay the bills. To truly cleanse yourself is extremely easy. It truly is. You do not need ‘the game’. But what is the game?
You need a special candle. It is only ($50 – $1000). You need me to do a special blessing. It is only ($100 – $5000). You need a special cleansing. It is only ($100-$4000). You only need to see me (2x – 5x) a week.
      The Reality.
The reality is that the local psychics would buy those ‘special’ candles from stores such as mine. And they did. It is only $10 or less. A salt bath is usually what is needed. Salt. Any salt. Every salt. Want one made alchemically correct? $6. Want an oil for clarity and to move forward? It is only $8 to $15. That is it. It is that simple. Seriously that simple.
The reality of this entire game is that you are not cursed. You are not hexed. You are in a bad cycle. You can tear yourself out of the cycle for $15 max for an item or a whopping…drum roll please…$31 for a package of bath salts, candle and oil.
Keep in mind…that is all you need. In reality for the bad cycle, you need not spend an arm and a leg to get out of that cycle. You need to simply have clarity in the cycle.
P.S. There is also a phenom known as the Voodoo Curse to us in the occult. That is: If I tell you that you are cursed, you make yourself cursed. No one has to do a thing to you. Curses are 99% not real. That is the dirty little secret of the occult and the major plotline in Hollywood.
